@pyrrhula usually not, they can judge the strength of the branch very well. but I did once watch in horror as 2 males here fought and as they went out towards the end of a large branch the entire branch came to the ground.
They simply continued to fight on the ground!
So the distraction of fighting caused them not to realise, but usually they would be very aware :)
