In the 1930s, the decision was taken to build a church in the Pasaréti residential area. Designed by the architect Gyula Rimanóczy, the monumental church (503 m2) was built in a modern style and consecrated by Cardinal Justinian Serédi on 14 October 1934. In the following decades, the interior of the church will be enriched by works of art by eminent artists.
