A shot of my 11 year old. Thanks for all your comments and fav's of him running yesterday. It was not a deliberate panning shot, just a fluke shot really. I tend to watch his soccer games through my lens and all of a sudden he was there!
He has the most beautiful lashes!! Love the shape of his eyes and the color too! What a mischievous smile he has!!! I'm sure all the girls think he's a hottie!! Awesome portrait! FAV!

Great eyes and eyebrow ;) I like the processing you've done here... how did you get the 'soft' feel? - and I like the background texture. Really works.
@kph129 The majority of softness came from focusing just on his eyes using f3.5. The lighting was strange and it made his skin look kind of pink so I reduced the saturation level. I smoothed his skin just a tad too. Then I moved to picmonkey and used the mascara tool to darken and thicken his lashes. I used a texture layer (a painting one I think) but erased it from his face and hair. Hope that helps.
You would know Gage anywhere with that wayward eyebrow.......fabulous shot.....my new lens is supposed to be good at portraits but I have no willing models! Lovely shot!

Now there's a guy who apparently doesn't mind having the camera focused on him. That and he obviously adores his mom — one can see that in his smile and the joy in his eyes. Super picture of your son.
Fantastic portrait! He looks quite cheeky, though I just read your comment from today (the leaf photo) and seems like he wasn't that keen to have his pic taken. Even more well done that you managed such a good pic with an unwilling participant. I know that feeling too well!!! Great shotxxx
