@merrelyn You very well could see whales!! Have you been to Victoria before?? You'll love it! Are you coming further up the island? We're about 3 hours from there.
@kwind No this is our first trip to Canada. We're doing a Rockies tour starting in Victoria. The tour takes us up to Chemainus before taking a ferry to Horseshoe Bay and from there we head to Whistler.
@merrelyn You can go whale watching in Victoria too if you have time. There's a few companies that go out right from the inner harbour. Is you itinerary all settled or do you have 'free time' in Victoria? I was in Chemainus just last week with my sister. You'll enjoy all the murals. How long are you in the country?
We have 3 nights in Victoria - one by ourselves and 2 with the tour. We fly into Vancouver on 27th August and out on 15 October. The tour includes an Inside Passage cruise and ends in Vancouver on 18 September. We'll spend a few days in Vancouver then fly to Montreal, mooch around the east coast for a couple of weeks ending up in Toronto, ready to fly back to Vancouver for a couple of days before heading for home.
