Another flower from my mom's garden taken a few days ago... a clematis!
Thanks for all the comments on my caterpillar shot from yesterday. It was interesting to hear that so many of you had never seen such a thing. I believe they are tent caterpillars and will eventually become moths. They appear every spring but this year there seem to be more than usual.
This is beautiful, I love the curl on the petals and how the light makes them appear to shimmer. There are fascinating lines running down the petals and it's interesting to speculate if that's because it's not fully open. I also love how the shadow has deepened the colour of the flower . Favunderneath.
Beautiful! My clematis opened yesterday and I thought I would get a shot of it unfortunately we had a storm and the heavy rain has ruined it! Lovely detail in your flower!
