Finally remembered and bought a string of colored lights today. Had two shots in mind and both came out pretty good. Just some fun bokeh shots. Plan for tomorrow is to hop on the metro and head to Washington D.C. to get a night shot of the National Christmas Tree. Hope that plan fans out....
This is great! Love the bokeh. If you go to DC I recommend skipping the National Christmas Tree near the White House and go the Capitol Christmas Tree near the Capitol instead. The National Tree is CROWDED, you wont be able to use a tripod and it's a little cheesy, it doesn't even look like a real tree. Oh, and it's not that close to the White House. The Capitol Tree is more peaceful, less crowded and just nicer all around. If you have time check out both but spend more time at the Capitol. That's my 2 cents! :) Have fun!
@chlyo72 okay I'll try to get both. Last years tree was awful but I only saw it during the day. Might end up with a picture of the Jefferson memorial . lol
This is so beautiful, Leslie. I got a meditation ball with a pink tint to it. I put it on my wish list and think I got the wrong ball. Can you tell me what you got and is yours pretty heavy to hold and take a photo? I love the bokeh in this shot.
@darsphotos I ordered mine online . They called it a crystal ball and it is clear no tint to it. You could order different sizes . Mines bigger than I thought it would be and yes it's very heavy ..........
@lesip Thank you for getting back to me, Leslie. I did see crystal balls online where my husband ordered mine on Amazon. I was tending towards the larger one as it seemed to look better from what I had seen here. How do you have yours set up when you take a photo as it is hard to hold it and take a photo. Thank you again for your help and getting back to me.
