Just yesterday Marilyn posted a beautiful cicada (mostly dead) capture. Today this was waiting for me when I returned home - yikes - I am NOT a cicada fan, so I can't believe I got this close...And he is very much alive...probably plotting to get inside the house!
Thanks, Heather...there's a little piece of wood or a stick right beside him that I should've moved for a better capture, but I was not about to reach toward him!!!
I love to listen to cicadas but rarely see one. I managed to capture one during Year one, but haven't seen one since although I hear them every evening. Fabulous detailed shot and how cool he was right out in the open on the rocks. They won't bother you :-)
Beautiful colors!! I guess that's what mine would have looked like if he wasn't in the death throws, lol! Cicadas don't hurt you, they just look fearsome:-) Great capture!!
