We saw this on one of our hikes last week. I have no idea what it is but it is pretty cool looking. My daughter in law said she thought it was some kind of bug nest. Sadly, she's probably right.
We have loads around where I live. Apparently it’s some kind of moth, can’t remember which! If you get a bush with loads of these webs, you’ll see little caterpillars that have hatched. I’ve taken photos of them also. Fascinating
