We’ll be having a Christmas tradition with our daughter - but on Zoom this morning! Making a Christmas strudel! There’s a lot to prepare ahead of time; chopping apples, making dough and finding a bed sheet to tape to a table! The sheet helps after we’ve rolled out the dough paper thin and filled half of it with apples, bread crumbs, sugar and cinnamon. We untape the sheet and lift it as it rolls the fragile strudel into a log! We then gently place it on a baking sheet and bend it into a horse shoe shape. After baking and cooling we sprinkle it with powdered sugar. A Christmas morning treat!
It's amazing, the amount of work (and love) that goes into a baking project. Glad there's a way for you and your daughter to still do it "together". Merry Christmas, Lois. (I miss Lucy still and think of her so often...)
