Private Entrance

Spent some time wandering around Staunton, IL today. A small town of ~5,000 residents, about 45 minute drive northeast of St. Louis.

We get up here occasionally, my wife hits the quilt shop(s) and I wander looking for photo ops. I think this town is slowing fading away, which is a bit sad. In fact, today's trip was to hit the quit store before the owner retires and they close.

Anyway, I found this entry on once of the side street, thought it was interesting.
Love the layers of material. Good spotting.

That door is so plain for that grand rock and brick around it! It looks wrong to me!

It is definitely a double standard here. As @louannwarren stated. Nice find.

@houser934 @louannwarren @henrir Thanks all! I really liked the contrast between the nearly majestic arch and the mundane (and PRIVATE) door...

Do like the contradiction here, why if private which usually equals hidden, is there a grand arch? Wonderful find.
