In our area, we have lots of railways that have been converted to bike/hiking trails... Every once in a while, on the trails, you come across a reminder of the past. In this case, a single telegraph pole... No wires, no insulators.... and no neighboring poles. I don't know when the rail line was retired, but this has been a trail since 1991. So there's more than 25 years of nature overgrowing that pole..
