Baby Snake?

I thought I found a baby snake but after I got home and looked on the internet it appears this is an adult brown snake. They only get to be 9"-13" long.

This is an adult (but not fully grown) garter snake. For September 1, 2013 I have a picture of an eastern garter snake. That may or may not be the same as you have seen.

@dyland Thanks Dylan. I think you are right. There are some similarities to the brown snake but the facial markings look closer to a garter snake.
