I haven't seen a red-tailed hawk in the backyard in years. We get mostly cooper's hawks and a few red-shouldered hawks. He was sitting under one of the bird feeders. I figure he missed what ever he was chasing. He flew up into one of the big trees and sat watching for about ten minutes.
