I had a photo all ready to post but then this sunset came and took over the sky. I took the opportunity to test my little P&S to see what it would come up with. It does have similar settings to my bridge camera but they are more difficult to choose. However, I did this and took this. I was quite pleased with the result. I did rest the camera against the post on our front porch.
You get get the whole depth of the sky better, enlarged.
Three good things:
1. Warm day - good to be outside
2. Got a balance sheet problem worked out.
3. Love the way I get challenged by 365 friends!
@moreyoulessme@sugarmuser that's what I though when I looked at the shot! I don't know if it is the camera or my settings I have chosen. My other camera didn't capture this effect!
I forgot that you were in New Zealand! For some reason I was thinking this was in England and I was wondering why there were no leaves on the tree silhouette! :)
We are lucky with our skies here down in the south of NZ, Yvonne! Must be something to do with the nearness of the mountains! Its dark at 5 here at the moment - good to draw the curtains, pick up the knitting and watch the news!
@abirkill Thanks for your fav - it put me on PP! Although I am a MAP (Mere Amateur Photographer) it gives me pleasure when I"m up amongst the gods in 365!
@maggiemae no, it doesn't. i think we get it more often in sydney. But it brought back a beautiful memory when we were at lake paringa on the west coast. that was the only day I got a nice sky for the whole two weeks we were there :-)
I think you've chosen well with your p&s.
