In the late afternoon, I noticed the sun was hitting a painting on a far wall in the kitchen. I knew it would disappear rapidly so snapped the shot. Its a painting I did some years ago of a river valley that we lived nearby. You will notice my dog is standing in the river - he was always in the picture!
Three good things:
1. A 2 hour talk with son on Skype in the USA having lived in the BVI for a year and before that, Zambia.
2. Got the lawns done finally - they were so wet, it took me over an hour.

You painted that maggiemae ....I am so impressed........it looks very professional from here! Sounds like your dog is no more so lovely to have a reminder on your kitchen wall. Good to talk...hooray for Skype!
@maggiemae I do hope Harry takes that on board when Tui finally goes.......I really don't think he can do without a dog but they are so tying when we go away....plus the fact that it's so distressing...we hopefully have a few years yet, Tui is 12 years old now & quite fit.
@happypat@maggiemae my sister had to put their 8 year old dog down due to diabetes and blindness getting worse and then for to be in pain. They did well for 2 years to give her a comfortable and happy life. They are missing Molly dreadfully and say no more dogs, but she has just Facebooked me said how sad they are. I hope they get another dog. 💜
@andreajoy@happypat I was so distressed for over a year after my two beloved dogs had died within 4 weeks of each other! Now I feel I could love to have another but could not see the pain of that decision on hubby's side!
