This is me at some early age - about 12 or 13, I would guess with my first camera. It was one of those that popped out when you opened it! Does anyone remember that model?
Three good things:
1. A visit from a cousin not seen for 9 years.
2. The photos weren't good but at least I still have them.
3. I dreamed I turned my hair white- so glad it was only a dream!
you were taking mirror selfies before selfies were cool! This is such an amazing pic! You are so fresh faced and the light leaks and all the "imperfections" make it perfect! Love it.
My word maggiemae you are ahead of your time.......such a pretty girl in that mirror too! I remember the Kodak camera........how cameras have altered although the principle remains the same I guess! This is a lovely photo to have...I have none from my teenage years ...feel quite sad about that .
@maggiemae well I can't remember ...there are photos of us kids when we were small up to about the age of ten but after that nothing of any of us......no idea why but idpf course cameras weren't as popular then...... I think the camera broke!
What a wonderful photo of you, Maggiemae. Love seeing your interest in photography from way back. I agree with Peggy, do a now and then shot side by side. You were so cute. Nice to have this treasure. FAV
@darsphotos Thank you Darlene - i really was just recording what happened along my route in life but thats better than nothing. On 365 you have to get the shot a bit better which is always a challenge!
This is awesome! You were ahead of your time with the mirror selfie! I think the first picture I have of myself with a camera is from my 35mm days. I wonder where that negative is...
for it.
