Playground of the rich

HDR look at a marina in a resort north of Auckland, NZ. The hotel where we were staying is a bit rundown but alongside the canal where these boats are moored. All private moorings and outside the owner's apartments.

Three good things:
1. Not for me, this lifestyle! Too much waste of assets.
2. Horrified at having to pay $20 for internet and that for only one computer but at least I could catch up on 365.
3. Squabbling sparrows outside our window got short shift!
Excellent shot, and I love the hard edged statement that too much wealth imprints on the landscape.

Great composition and pov of the Marina. I like the touch of hdr in this. Not far to come down the steps to their boat.

Wonderful HDR processing, but I agree, this lifestyle is far too wasteful! The more you have the more you have to maintain, and the more resources you use for just one person or a couple. Those resources could be put so much better use for so many more people, or could improve the environment.
Love how the splashes of color pop out in this!

A grey day! I love the editing. It makes the port look much older, not as modern.

It's amazing how HDR editing shows up every little detail......must admit I do like the affect always. A real collection of lovely boats in this little expensive harbour....interesting to look at those boats. You do have very nice sailing vessels in NZ I must say!

This is another good shot, but again I'm not keen on the over processed result.
