I think I recognised the photographic incentive of layers from this lovely evening scene, as I drove back home throughout the North Otago, NZ landscape in this light!
Three good things;
1 Waited for a good photo through the Book Club meeting but I am so nervous of being reprimanded for taking a photo with a “ serious” camera that I didn’t. However others with their tiny phone cameras were totally accepted.
2. Looking for a good photo on the way home through Easter traffic got me in a tizz - I didn’t want to hold people up who were in such a hurry to get somewhere! Good thing - I wasn’t!
3. My camera gives me confidence!
@happypat Thanks for your comment, Pat - I see you did too on FB! The light was just right to separate the hills from the mountains in the background so yes, just had to stop and brave the Easter traffic roaring past me!
Oh, such a lovely shot. The layers and light make this a luminous shot. There are so many different versions of "green" which really add visual complexity. Nicely done.
This is such an amazing photo, Maggiemae. I love all the layers and the green. You did great. I would not worry what others think of my camera at all. Glad you were able to capture this photo so well. FAV
This is fabulous, Maggiemae! The lush greens receding into the background, and changing into the more muted rolling hills, and then into blues before fading into the sky.....wonderful, wonderful layers....FAV!!
I like these kinds of photos where the shadows fill in those hollow places in the terrain giving it more depth! Allow me to add my fav to the many already added! Fav
You have really captured the depth of this landscape, it's beautiful. I've tried so many times to do it myself and failed miserably to reflect the scale of the scenery. Superb.
@soboy5@annied@eyesmile What a surprise and a thrill as you say, Annie! Also good to see so many of my friends up there too - well their photos not themselves!
@happypat thanks a heap, Pat! I think I've had only 3 in TT but thats pretty good considering I don't have a DSLR! I had a number of ex Otago-ites remark on it!
@maggiemae I have never had even one in th TT so I think it's a remarkable achievment! I would have been shouting from the rooftops but you never said a word......amazing restraint on your part!
Thank you, Cindy for your very nice words!
