A day of no inspiration but did have an idea that involved match heads. This is the result.
Three good things;
1. Biking back from the supermarket up a main road that was being resealed and had narrow lanes set aside for cars and trucks, I was taken in hand (not literally) and shown another way to get past. The road workers were so nice to me on my bike.
2. For once I saw on my camera screen an icon that indicated that the battery was very low.
3. Lying face down in the grass (reading a book) I was amazed at the life - you could call it low life! Tiny green insects, weeny black ones, ladybirds, tiny spiders and ants - biting ones!
Love this , very effective and great abstract of beautiful swirls around the match heads . Every thing so sharp and clear --waw !! But you make me smile with your Alice in wonderland view of the tiny creatures you observed in the grass !!
@beryl There was a tiny ladybird who wanted to crawl up my arm, Beryl! i put her carefully away about a foot and then watched her as she struggled up and down grass stalks on her way back to me!
Magnificent picture. Bill alerted me to check out your tag and it made me smile. I also was smiling thinking about you lying on the grass observing the miniature world of bugs.
@grammyn Thanks Katy! Its amazing what we see when we really look! i was lying in this place a few days ago and felt a little stinging. After making a few wild swipes at my leg, I actually looked and there were dozens of ants all crawling around!
@thistle In actual fact, Joyce - I leapt to my feet, ran to the garage, grabbed the only spray I could find which was spider spray and sprayed madly! They disappeared very quickly thank goodness! We don't have an ant problem down here!
@sangwann Thank you Dione for your enthusiastic words! It really wasn't inspired - I just had picture in my mind that I wanted to achieve through photopraphy
