Boxing Day - had to google why its called that! I am horrified by the media stuff who advertise “unwanted presents’! We never were allowed to even think that!
Three good things;
1. On a bike ride I wobbled past several homes and they all waved or smiled at me! I must be giving a funny look - but no, its because I am smiling as I ride!
2. A wild rose on the side of the railway gave me this photo! Nothing special - just a PO!
3. A skype with our English family - they couldn’t hear us but we could hear them. Used our skill in charades to communicate!
A smile encourages a smile ! Cathy was trying to wish people a happy Christmas as she met them on our walk today, gave up after a while! Said they were all folk out of the towns who don't say good morning to each other as we do. How can people sell unwanted presents so soon after they received them, ungrateful so & so's!
Continue smiling ;) it can make a difference on your day and your entourage's .... that's what I say to my daughters : a smile can change everything !
I agree with you about the Boxing Day... sad
Love you shot :delicate and soft image !
So very beautiful & delicate.....I so like your 3 things....I am not too good at Charades, but, great fun...1. A smile 2. your photo for the day. 3. Family fun & laughter...FAV
@happypat I have to concur - out of towners don't look at your face as they pass! If they do, give them a smile anyway - its like a challenge! Imagine seeing your presents as a way of ready cash!!!
@maggiemae Ha ha thats exactly what it was , a challenge! To be fair when I met the people Cathy had said Happy Christmas to ( she was a way in front of me as usual because I had the camera) they were primed up & quite friendly with a smile!
