In the same Camp but drove 15km to Wanaka to get supplies and also the ‘data hunt’ ! John actually walked with me over the Parks to get the 30mb, 200mb, 300mb, given in certain parts of the town. One situation, viewing the lake, the wind created white-caps and the ‘surf sails’ that were zooming past us, being parked on the lakefront! (note the commas that made the sentence sense - hopefully?)
Three good things:
1. There was obviously a school here to give young boys experience - started by a yoga class (and I didn’t see any young one not join in), followed by these tiny plastic kayaks that seemed to be bobbing about with no danger. Who feeds these boys??
2. Not me!
3. After a very noisy night of gale force winds and driving rain, blue sky was what I saw when I lifted my blind this morning!
Glad to hear you survived the gale forces especially since you got this beautiful photo. Wonderful detail on the windsurfer and beautiful light across the water
@grammyn We were surrounded by high trees so a bit nervous a branch would come down on us but it didn't! Elsewhere a motorhome tipped over in the wind as did a parked caravan!
He looks as though he is walking in water, I can't see his feet! Lovely pop of lime green in the water there. Struggling with charging my iPad tonight, my cable has become bent & im waiting for a new one, it only charges when it feels like it!
Nice picture btw.
