Oamaru is well known for its Classic Architecture. Built in the 1880’s there are quite a few buildings that still stand proud. Some are still struggling to meet the recent earthquake standards but some have got through. These columns are outside our local bank.
Three good things:
1. John parked the car before going into this bank right beside a rubbish bin! I just barely managed to squeeze out the door much to the amusement of another lady who’s car was parked behind. Now if I had the figure of a svelte and slim 30 year old, there would have been no struggle.
2. A great friend has got a huge cancer problem and we feel so lucky. As I said to John, its probably because we don’t exercise and eat rubbish!
3. We only have 3 outside doors and they lock securely. At our last place there were seven!
Stunning majestic architecture in these columns A lovely pov , shot ,edit and presentation Maggie , rather like an illustration in a glossy magazine ! A big fav for me !
This is picture postcard perfect! I will be able to come up to Niagara to meet you! I will come up on Friday, June 2 to stay with my family and then to Niagara on Saturday the 3rd. I hope we can do this- I'd love to meet my "distant cousin" from NZ! It looks like Vikki will also be able to come down and meet too. Does that work for you?
@olivetreeann I don't have your email address Ann. I will have an American phone number but do not know what it will be till I get to the States. If you send me your email address here then when I get it and tell you, you can delete the message to keep it safe if you want.
For a moment I thought you were in my nations capital!,Washington D.C. Not sure if it's the same type of stone but these type of columns are all over the city. I love how you have captured them😊
