I have always liked Jack Vettriano’s umbrella paintings and this scene reminded me.
It is SpeedTrials day and so many vehicles lined up to do their run. Our crew had four Indian bikes all wanting to set records and 3 of them did including The Burt Munro Bike who set a record of 188 mph.
Three good things:
1. High Fives all around when the record was announced!
2. No champagne here - the guys don't drink while in charge of a driving licence! But we had plenty of pineapple flavoured water!
3. A great meal at Denny's - one restaurant that actually serves other choices than hamburgers!
Great shot Maggie -- she is certainly there to be noticed -- congrats to the Burt Munro Bike record breaking at 188 mph ! I am sure the pineapple water very welcoming !
This is a terrific image. As everyone has said she certainly looks overdressed. I think that shorts and jandals might have been cooler? Great results for the team.
As soon as I saw this photo it reminded me of that very distinctive artist Jack Vettrianno, I think it's the girl with the umbrella & the way she is dressed. Many congratulations to the whole team of Indian bikes & the Burt Munro team. Exciting stuff!
fantastic story-telling capture ... Such a great image, I just think her shoes look very impractical for desert walking! I do love how she's holding the umbrella, and how it's a woman holding it over a man. Congrats to your team. Fav
FAV. Although not necessary since this beautiful picture Has already been on the PP. It's a fantastic composition with fabulous tones and the most fascinating subject. Definitely a grand piece of art. I'd like to add my comments to all the rest of congratulations to your team and looking forward to continued good success at Bonneville.
That sand in the desert must be packed incredibly hard for her to be able to navigate with heels
I think the lady would look more fetching in shorts, sandals and sexi looking top, but to each it. high heels in the desert don't look comfortable. as to your team, both thumbs up.
How exciting to be there for such a record-breaking day!
