Old Tins by maggiemae

Old Tins

My previous owl family will not be accompanying us with our journey to the North, starting very soon.
A morning coffee in our favourite cafe allowed me this shot - so many iconic tins in our history which probably are British based.

Three good things;
1. Taking time over coffee and smiles with strangers.
2. Stocking the motorhome took thought but the computers on board let us know how much water was in the tanks.
3. Love the Ice Skating on TV - Olympic Winter Games! Like - once you can skate - you can fly! And dance!
Have a good trip. Looking forward to the pics.

Nice collection. There is a tin museum not far away from where we live, with a collection of about 2000 old tins. Wonderful.
Have a nice trip.

Yes you can fly on skates but I've never tried! A trip north, good to go on that lovely ferry! Will you be up north at end of May / June? I like this clear sharp photo of the shelves of tins.

I just wish I had kept the log cabin syrup tins from my childhood! Ha. Have fun on your journey!

Have a wonderful trip. My fav coffee shop had a similar display, but of baskets instead of tins. Funny how many memories there can be in simple containers

My sister used to collect tins and had them displayed in her kitchen in a similar way. I still have a few of my own but they are being used for things. Glad you're stocked and ready to go- safe travels!
