This is the back entrance to the cafe called "Badger and Mackerel" It used to be a muddy track and one you didn't want to enter this cafe. Now it has nicely cropped hedges, plants and brickwork to entice you into the cafe! Needless to say, its for the smokers!
Thankful for:
This cafe has super food -John had a cheese and herb scone, I had a delicious crispy lettuce egg sandwich. Coffee is served as it should be with hot water.
It show how a little care and attention can change and beautify the back entrance to this café . So pretty with all the agapanthus looking so cheerful and welcoming !
Love those flowers _ trees....I always love how your roads, farm tracks & roadside verges are full of the Agapanthus....looks like it’s just that time if the year! I like the look of this place! John must be ready for his coffee, he’s striding in there!
@maggiemae Harry would never eat a cheese scone....he can’t mix sweet & savoury even though he would probably enjoy it if he actually tried it....date scones sound delicious though!
@happypat Our cafe's serve so many types of savoury scones! But a date scone is Johns favourite and its interesting how it's come back into fashion - after those awful muffins (just my opinion)
