Where I work, we know medical visits can be difficult, often stressful and emotional for our patients. It's times like these when the kindness and competence of one person can turn a tough time into one in which a patient feels safe and confident in the care they are receiving.
We call these people Guardian Angels - and when recognized - the staff member "Earns Their Wings." They stand in front to these wings and I take their photos - it makes them look like they actually have wings! ...these are human sized wings!
How great! Did you come up with this idea at work? I wonder what type of feathers? This photo exudes softness and comfort which is perfect for the purpose.

This program was developed by our Foundation Director and patients generally want to give back to the hospital and this is a way they can do that and honor a caregiver at the same time. It's worked well. The Angel Wings are a type of painting.
