I am an Oregon Duck - my DIL's parents are USC Trojans. For the past 10+ years the loser of the Duck/Trojan game has had to prominately display the helmet of the team who won the match-up. My DIL's parents have had the Duck helmet displayed in their home for several years. With the Duck loss to USC this past Saturday, the USC helmet is now on display in our home - and there it shall remain until the Ducks defeat the Trojans. That will not be for another two years because the two teams do not face each other in the PAC-12 Conference until the 2018 season.
It IS a great tradition.
