Homemade Laundry Detergent

yes, I made it myself. Costs almost nothing. Works great. That tiny scoop = 2 teaspoons= a huge load. Bye, bye, Tide.

Clare, I used the "dry" recipe from this blog http://thewhitesilkpurse.blogspot.com/2010/10/laundry-soap.html
I have an HE washer and am a little uncomfortable putting it in the dispenser dry, so have been experimenting with dissolving the little scoopful in water first. Plus I add a splash of white vinegar in the "softener" cup to be sure it doesn't leave a residue inside the machine somewhere (although that doesn't seem to be a problem, I'm just pre-empting)
