@gennywren When I was growing up, the Charles Chips man used to deliver chips and cookies (there were smaller "charles cookies" tins) to your house. Michael actually remembers it being thursday at their house. My family was too cheap (excuse me, "thrifty") to get them. but I had them at friend's houses. I remember a tiny bit of jealousy about it. Anyway, they showed up in the Kroger the other day and Michael brought some home. So, finally, after all these years, I got a delivery of Charles Chips!
What a cool story! We had a potato chip company called Jays, they used to also come in a tin can, but I don't think we ever had an actual home delivery.
I remember these. We must have had one can delivered and then it was forever the chip can after that - whatever we bought was dumped in the Charles Chip Can.
