@corktownmum Thanks, Chris. I've been doing it for many years now. At this point, lots of them are floating around out there. People donate ugly ties (we've even had some ugly tie contests) and I chop them up and (hopefully) make something beautiful. It's a lesson about the transformative power of God's love.
