Westminster Presbyterian in Paducah, KY has been such a huge part of my life. Hard to see it close. Can't imagine not being able to wander into the building whenever I want.
@corktownmum yes! I think I'm in a state of shock about it. My parents, sister, and I were all married there. I was baptized there when I was 10 days old (the pastor was leaving and they wanted him to do it), even my oldest child was baptized there because I hadn't joined a church here yet. Both of my parents' funerals... I could go on and on. A lifetime of memories. The building has been sold to the hospital that surrounds it. I predict that it will be treated with care and respect, just like a patient.
