Unusual bird at the feeder

Never saw one like it before. And couldn't find it in my bird books.

@wiesnerbeth It has been identified as a small downy woodpecker. I didn't think it was a woodpecker because of the way its legs were attached, but the field guide proved me wrong.

@margonaut So funny — I saw one of those a few years ago and was told by my friend that it was a downy woodpecker, but I didn’t believe her!
