So proud that they decided to renovate instead of tearing it down. A wonderful building designed by Edward Durell Stone.

@eudora @wiesnerbeth It's a wonderful building and has a twin, the US Embassy in New Delhi, India. Edward Durell Stone also designed the Kennedy Center in DC and the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. And Radio City Music Hall, among many others. It was touch and go on the restoration because the building had expensive issues. Many wanted to tear it down and start from scratch, but thankfully the powers that be in Paducah chose to save it.
