New York Beautify is on my bucket list of quilts to re-make. I made one once but used a color catcher when I washed it and it stripped all the color out of one of the fabrics. I like this layout.
@wiesnerbeth it's not the arrangement I decided on in the end. They were made from some pre-printed foundation fabric, and a jelly roll that I brought home from that estate sale last year. Can't believe a color catcher did that!
@margonaut I’ll look forward to seeing your new arrangement. The color catcher was so disappointing. It was the first and last time I’ll ever use one. After I wrote this I was thinking about that quilt and I don’t think it was a New York beauty after all. The mind is the first thing to go . . . at least that’s what my middle son keeps telling me . . .
