Marked the tree with red yarn

for the tree man to give me an estimate on cutting it down. Oh, how I hate to do it! But it's roots threaten the foundation, and it dumps a ton of nuts, leaves, and sticks on the roof. Not to mention overhanging the chimney.

@wiesnerbeth If only we'd taken a chainsaw to it 40 years ago. Thank goodness I never gave it a name!

@margonaut it’s never a good idea to get too attached by naming your trees.
