@wiesnerbeth No, it happened several days before. Biden and I were there at the same time though. I was keeping an eye out for Air Force One when I passed the Fort Campbell exit that day. My friend in Norway said that it flew over her house in Oslo when Obama was there and was very impressive.
@margonaut We happened to be standing in the backyard when it flew over our house on 9/11. Impressive and a bit eerie that day. I don’t really notice any planes that much here. We live between Reagan and Dulles airports and two military bases so there’s a lot flying around on any given day. Since the planes had all been grounded that day, it was almost surreal to see Air Force One flying overhead that evening. I had never seen it before, but my next door neighbor had (he used to work at the CIA).
@wiesnerbeth oh my. That's quite a 9/11 memory. Must have been especially awesome/frightening to see on that day. I remember how empty the skies were that whole week. Had never really noticed the many planes flying over until then. Sure did notice when they returned though.
