We have a lot of oaks here, especially blue oaks and valley oaks, but this variety is new to me. Very interesting shaped leaved. Love how well it shows up on the background.
@shutterbug49 Thank you very much. We have few varieties here, but you can boil them down to white wood or red wood in the end. I've learned to tell the difference by the shape of the leaves. I'm thinking about getting a willow oak next spring. The leaves are so beautiful in the fall.
