Nice lighting. Is the fennel edible by humans?

@ososki In the aster family of plants - not the carrot family like the herb fennel. It's a natural insecticide but, I'm not sure if it's edible. Leaves have a pungent scent if you crush them in your hand, but in the fall when it blooms, the tiny white blooms have a light sweet scent - like baby powder.
