Until recently there was a test with laser light to scare away starlings 'harassing' the station. Today these lights are gone and the experiment is evaluated.
I suppose these lights are a friendly way to keep the birds away but why scare them away in the first place. Ok, you have to clean the station more often. Or in a different way really... In return, they clean up our own mess! It doesn't make much difference if you ask me.
They are funny and cosy too. I love their twittering and they already copy all kind of train sounds, which is pretty cool! I read a story about Japan where they installed installations with bird sounds because there aren't any real ones. I know what I prefer...
