He looks like he has his feet hiding in the sand!! I love Killdeer!!! We have a lot at the farm and love to watch them and their antics! Especially their "broken wing" act when you get too close to their nest or babies!!! They have the greatest eyes and makes you wonder how those skinny little legs can hold them up! FAV! Excellent details on this close up!!!
