Lorna's Rose _DSC3327

This lovely old climbing rose belonged to my husband's grandmother. It has been transplanted to at least four different gardens. I've been its keeper for many years, but it hasn't been doing well. This year it's blooming beautifully. Fingers crossed it will continue to do so.
Beautiful roses.

Beautiful. We have the same in our garden, cuttings from roses from my mother's garden, Steve's mother's garden and my grandmother's garden and they are just so special, a direct link to the past.

How lovely to have such a treasure travel with you! Several years ago I lost a dear friend by the name of Lorna... she'd smile to know I saw your photo and it brought her to mind. Thanks for that!
