If you look closely, this bush has some thin fine curls. I think thin and fine are synonyms here. They - the curls were intriguing - and I wanted to check how neat can this camera and lens be. And i am quite satisfied, bearing in mind that gusts of wind were passing by.
@aikiuser Thank you. My "significant other" asked me one day why does it take me so long to take a shot. Is the camera that slow? And I had to explain that I find my angle and then I have to wait for everything to be still. Sometimes it is sooner, sometimes I have to give up. @ethelperry There were three shots. In one, the curls were blurred but the other two were quite good. Of course I had a tripod. I seem to have no skill whatsoever at taking photos in hand. That is where I have to work some more. And photography in general. :D
Looks like a "spanish dagger" yucca. I used this app to double check: https://identify.plantnet.org/ and my hunch seems to be correct!
