Our mothers said we could be sister and brother

These two Japanese roses (as we call them) reminded me of this line in Pulp's song Disco 2000.
They just bloomed side by side.

my grandaunt back in the old country a gazillion years ago, had a large bush of hibiscus that bore flowers like these two. they said it was impossible that it was just one plant. when my cousins and i were in high school and studying botany, we examined the plant and found out there were actually two main plants that somehow "merged" -- just grew attached to each other, it was the first time i learned of a 'chimera'. mother nature is wonderful and it's nice to explore its secrets when one can. very nice shot, moni. aces!

But these two are just two potted plants in two separate pots, but sitting next to each other on the window sill.
