While in Chinatown last Saturday night, we came across a shop I hadn't been in for years. There was so many funny thing in it from rude - yet hilarious - cards to card games based on pot and really alternatives teas in their purist forms.
But what I really liked were these four retro badges; which I bought for $10. They are so much from my time of the 1980's that I had to have them; especially the 'Save Ferris' one from 'Ferris Bueler's Day Off'... such a cult classic of a film!
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
Cool collection! My daughters can recite verbatim from "Ferris Bueler's Day Off" - they still watch it! The good ole' days! And the original Rubik's Cube - made most of us a little crazy! Nice shot!
lol very cool collection! Before I'd even read your description, I immediately homed in on the Save Ferris button and thought I'd love that one. I'm just like Carolyn's daughter, I still watch it and can recite whole scenes :)
Little does anyone know that with the Rubic's Cube, one you've solved it, there's another algorithm that you have to solve to completely solve the cube. Only the man himself - who created the cube - knows what it is and the answer. He hasn't told anyone about the solution since the cube's massive creation and popularity.
Looks like you had a terrific visit down Memory Lane! Even my generation loved Ferris and have enjoyed that movie several times! Glad you had a nice time out! Aren't you glad you have Little Miss Stevie to love on since a cat isn't in the cards for you :-( I'm actually a little alergic to cats, but I push through. The worst scenario is TJ when he wants to rub his head on my face! Not so good!
Sure brings back memories - especially the rubic cube!
