Yesterday, I was a Mum and Dad's place to see the front verandah being stripped of its railings for the last time before my cousin, Clayton, builds it in.
From a young age, I remember when there were no railings on this verandah, then suddenly there were. And I've seen them be replaced and repainted many times. However, this is going to be a first where the whole verandah is going to be built in complete; just the way Mum and Dad wanted it to be when we were young. The new room will cut down on traffic noise, add value to the house and make the place look classier.
