Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
@melissapike Seeing Dad used to keep bees for such a long time (right through most of my childhood, high school and through my 20's), before he had to burn the lot due to a beetle plaguing them, I learned a fair bit about them and their way of life. I avoided being stung by observing how they flew first... you see, they fly in a circle around the bush and then off in the direction of the hive, and then, when they return, they in the reverse to come back so they fly over a similar flight path and scent in the air, so they have an idea where they've been and where the bush is... it's interesting how they find their ways around.
I just had to be patient and try not to sweat; as it can tick them off by making their scent and my scent mix in the air. And if you're nervous, that's what can bother them too. I've noticed this over the time I've not liked bees... if you're nervous and sweating, they get really buggy about it more than if you try to be calm around them (especially in Summer when you can't help it but sweat; and then there is a difference between ordinary sweating and the nervous sweat people get too).
I hated them more then too.
