When I first moved into my townhouse, I found I had a really crappy, weed-infested back garden/courtyard.
It was awful!
I spent 3 months just pulling out the weeds.
So, once I had the soil turned and the lawn growing, I looked at getting some plants in. However with solid clay soil, that wasn't going to happen... so Mum and Dad bought me some pots and I found myself looking into working with a containter garden... and I've grown my fair share of vegetables, herbs and now, I have a very cool little garden of all kinds of plants - some just look great, some flower, some are poisonous - but they're all mine and loved.
This bird bath, though was the first item I went out and bought. The birds used to fight over whose it was... however, it got a huge crack right though the middle of it and I didn't have the know-how to seal it back up (besides it's too darned heavy to move to do that!)... so I put some soil into it, shoved a few succulents in it and it's turned itself into a pot of beauty by itself. Recently I added to that pot and it's just taken on a life of its own. :D
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
@digitalrn@wendyfrost Thank you both for your lovely comments... I've loved doing this with things in my garden... and look forward to doing this again in it again. :D
