Today, at craft group, I tried out a new medium I've bought. It's Cracking Medium. This is where I paint on a base colour, slaver on the clear medium nice and thick, then wait for it to be touch dry (not totally dry, just tacky) and then paint on a contrasting colour on top of that. This top coat will crack and the colour underneath will show through... very pretty when you get the hang of it. :D

@wendyfrost Oh! They are finished! This is the look they get... it's an old look... these were my first ones - in the next photo, you'll see better ones, and that I've done the cracked look on other things too. :D
