Today I was out and about with the other volunteers of the Logan Art Gallery! We were taken to Ipswich where we enjoyed ourselves for the day.
First it was off to the Ipswich Historical Society where we learned all about how Ipswich almost became the capital of Queensland, until Brisbane was found to be a better location, closer to the coast with an easier access to the sea.
Then, we had lunch after visiting the Ipswich Art Gallery, right smack dab in the middle of the city itself. And the place is well worth going to!
After that, we all wanted to slip into a food coma... as you do on bus trips... but we were taken on a heritage listed house hunt; which funnily enough, we got lost doing! And in a bus, it looked pretty darned funny from the outside! :P
Well, we made it through the streets and we enjoyed looking at the houses and finally ended up at Queens Park to take a nice walk around for an hour.
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
