I was doing my first shift of the year at the Logan Art Gallery with a new volunteer - Mark - when some people walked through, asking what I was making. When I told them they were tiny pin cushions to take traveling, the ladies thought they were a wonderful idea.

The elderly lady asked how long it would take to finish this one, and how much it was. I said about half an hour and estimated around $12 - $15, and she said, 'Right! I'll take it please.' and walked off.

I rounded the price to $14.00 and put it into its own little travel bag and wrote out my business name on a piece of paper (all my business cards were packed away for Christmas/NYE period) and said that my website had been give a spruce-up just last week and was attached to my FB page if they'd like to look at it, and that there were other pin cushions on display on there too.

They were most pleased about this! And I made my first bit of money on Crafty Pegs without going to the markets!
